Damali and Sankofa are the creatives leading the Souls of Women project.
Damali Robertson is a writer, digital storyteller, and spiritual activist. She has dedicated most of her activism to helping end violence against women. Damali is also passionate about having real conversations about challenging issues. This is evidenced through her work with Ennufff and 1 Billion Rising Jamaica. A graduate of Pitzer College and the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, Damali is a life-long learner who aspires to leave the world a better place through innovative and creative projects such as the Souls of Women.

Sankofa SevenZero9 is a media artist and filmmaker from Pomona, CA and has been a part of the Leimert Park arts community in Los Angeles since 1995. Sankofa is a founding member of SoLA (South Los Angeles) Food Co-op and he’s an advocate for food equality. He also makes some pretty delicious healthy meals.
